Bachelor of Accounting & Financial Management

AFM Events

Fall Open House will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012. Students and their families will have the opportunity to take tours of our campus, the University Colleges and all of our residences, as well as the chance to learn more about our programs, speak to academic advisors and discover more about the many services we offer our students.

You will also have the opportunity to tour the School of Accounting and Finance building and attend an information session for the Accounting and Financial Management program. We will also have a booth in the Student Life Centre for students and their parents to have their questions answered.

The 2011 Fall Open House Event was extremely well attended by prospective AFM students. Approximately 430 students and parents came out to our information session, and our volunteers at the Arts Booth in the Student Life Centre were kept busy all day speaking with visitors and answering their questions. To those who were not able to attend this year’s Fall Open House, we hope to see you during one of our future visit days at Waterloo!

This year’s You@Waterloo Day event will be held on May 19, 2012. Approximately 3,000 guests will attend the event throughout the day.

You@Waterloo Day is a great opportunity for admitted students to join Waterloo faculty, staff and current students to ask many questions about their first year experience and life at Waterloo, as well as participating in residence, campus and university college tours.

The day is completely overtaken by excitement and enthusiasm as incoming students have a chance to interact one-on-one with some of the people that are actively involved in the AFM program. It's an absolute joy getting to know prospective AFM students and learning about their views and concerns on taking the next step of their lives as they enter university.

Student Life 101 will be held in July/August 2013. Student Life 101 provides incoming students with an opportunity to prepare for the first-year experience before September. Students had the opportunity to get their Watcard, buy their books, get help registering for classes, visit their residence community, meet student services staff and speak with faculty members who are knowledgeable about their program. We look forward to September and are thrilled to meet all of the new first year AFM students in our new School of Accounting and Finance building!
